JEE Main 2018 Important Notice

JEE Main 2018 is scheduled to be held on April 8, 2018, and the computer-based exam will be conducted on April 15 and April 16, 2018. The online application of JEE Main 2018 commenced on the 1st of December which was informed by the CBSE earlier. Candidates planning to appear for the exam must register themselves and complete the application. The application consists of three main sections – filling of the details in the application form, uploading scanned images and fee payment for the examination. There is a JEE main 2018 important notice coming up.

Remove discrepancies in the uploaded images

In the second section of the application, the candidates need to upload the scanned images of their photograph, signature and parent/guardian signature. There was a lot of confusuion about this section of the application and this resulted in discrepancies in the application for some candidates. Earlier, there was no option in the application to edit and make correction. The CBSE recently released a notice addressing this issue. As per the official notice, the CBSE has provided a new link in the application on the official website of JEE Main through which the candidates can remove the discrepancies in their uploaded images. Candidates need to login with their application number and password which they used while registering for the application.

Steps to make corrections in the uploaded images –

  • Visit the official JEE Main website
  • Click on the option under Current events in the left – “Remove Discrepancy in Uploaded images”
  • Login using your application number, password and security pin.
  • Make the necessary changes
  • Save the changes and logout

The last date for filling up and completing the application, including changes, is 1st January 2018 as of now. Candidates must complete the process well in advance before the deadline to give enough buffer time for any issues that might come up later. Either way, no applications will be accepted after the deadline and candidates failing to meet this deadline will not be eligible for the examination to be held in April.
