JEE Main Correction Window Open:
A public notice was issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) on 9th January 2017. It stated the period within which the JEE Main correction window will be open. Candidates can modify their registration details from: Wednesday, January 25, 2017, till Friday, February 3, 2017. The candidates must know that this is a one-time facility. Hence, the candidates should carefully modify/update the incorrect, flawed or inaccurate details, if any, in their registration forms. No correction requests will be entertained by the board after the portal is closed. Candidates must also be aware of the norm that incorrect details in the form may lead to disqualification from the examination.
The JEE Main correction process is entirely online based. The candidates cannot, however, change the mode of examination from computer based (online) examination to pen and paper based (offline) examination.The additional fee (if applicable) should be paid either through Credit/Debit Card/eWallet (SBI Buddy/PayTM) or e-challan generated during the online correction by cash in the Syndicate/Canara/ICICI/HDFC Bank. The last date of payment of admission fee is February 4, 2017.
The process for correction of uploaded images had begun on December 10, 2016, and was concluded in the first week of January 2017.
Steps to make the corrections in the registration form
- Go to the official JEE Main website (jeemain.nic.in).
- Scroll straight down to the bottom of the page and click on “Application for Particulars Correction”.
- In the new window that opens, fill in the fields provided with your application number and password.
- Enter the security pin and click “login”.
- Make the necessary corrections carefully.
