Only those candidates, who have successfully qualified for JEE Main 2015, will be eligible for the JEE Main counseling 2015 .
JEE Main Counselling 2015 – Procedure
The JEE Main 2015 counseling procedure comprises of 4 main steps: (1) Online registration, (2) Filling and locking choices, (3) Declaration of seats allocated along with document verification, and (4) Admissions into colleges.
JEE Main Counselling 2015 – Online Registration
The online registration is the first step of counseling, where the students need to register online for participating in JEE Main 2015 counseling. This procedure will begin from the first week of July, 2015, and it will end by the last week of July, 2015. The fees can be paid using a credit or a debit card, or even a challan.
JEE Main Counselling 2015 – Filling of Choices and Locking of Choices
This is the second stage of counseling where the candidates are required to fill in their choices according to their preferences. They will have to select the colleges or the institutes of their choice on the official website of JEE Main. Filling of choices and locking of choices will be conducted towards the last week of July in 2015. It is important for the candidates to fill their choices carefully according to their preferences. They will also get the flexibility of rechecking their choices once again post filling their choices. If they want to make certain changes in the choices made, they have the freedom to do so. Once the candidates verify their choices completely, they can move ahead and lock their choices. Here, it is important to note that the filling of choices and locking of choices are the two most important steps in JEE Main counseling. Therefore, it is necessary for the candidates to be very careful while carrying out both these procedures. These procedures need to be completed before the last date of filling and locking choices. Candidates who do not get allotted seats have the flexibility of modifying their choices post the third round of seat allocation. Candidates who have not registered for the seat allocation can register for 4th round of seat allocation from the last week of July, 2015.
Declaration of Seats Allocated along with Document Verification
Candidates get their seats according to the all India rank that they achieve. Seat allocation is also dependent on the choices filled by candidates during JEE Main counseling. Candidates who get the seats will have to report to one of their nearest reporting centers for admission. This will be followed by document verification, after which the candidates will be issued with a provisional admission letter.
Admissions into Colleges
Admissions to the allocated institutes is the final step of JEE Main counselling 2015. Once the document verification procedure for the candidate is over at the allocated institute, the candidate will have to take admission in the institute by paying the requisite admission fees.
Spot Seat Allotment Round
Spot seat allotment round is conducted for those seats which are left completely vacant even after the fourth round of seat allotment. In this procedure, the candidates don’t have to register once again if they have already registered for all the first four rounds of seat allocation.
We wish you best of luck in choosing the correct branch and college.
