JEE is regarded as one of the most challenging engineering admission tests not only in India but internationally. Currently, JEE is conducted by CBSE Board in 2 stages viz. JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Candidates can get admissions in Under Graduate engineering/architecture courses in NITs, IIITs and other institutions through JEE Main examination, whereas IITs provide admissions to eligible candidates through JEE (Advanced) examination. The qualified candidates of JEE Main will be eligible to take up JEE Advanced examination.

The JEE Main application form released early December 2018 and will be available till 2nd January 2018. The JEE Main 2018 exam will take place on 2nd April 2018 (Pen and paper based) and 8th and 9th April 2018 (Computer based). This article will help you with JEE Main 2018 login. Read on!

JEE Main 2018 Login:

Before you login, you need to register for JEE Main 2018 application form over here. You must follow the following important steps:

  • Please keep necessary documents for payment ready. Candidates can either go with online mode of payment or offline mode of payment. In case you are going with online payment then you must have debit card/credit card.
  • Candidates can also make necessary payment in offline mode through challan at bank or e-post office.
  • Application form once submitted cannot be withdrawn.

Create a JEE Main 2018 login ID

The purpose of creating a JEE Main 2018 Login ID is to enable the candidates to log back in later to edit the Application form, or request a resend of their Admit Card or JEE Main 2018 Application Form. Care must be taken to choose your JEE Main 2018 login ID carefully as it may also come in handy in JEE Advanced 2018.

To create a JEE Main 2018 login ID, candidates are supposed to fill:

  • Password: This password must be safely secure with you so that it remains confidential. Choose a password you may not easily forget but one which is difficult to copy.
  • Security Question: For one to create a login ID, choosing a security question is a must. This question is basically a reminder question to help you retrieve the username and password in case you forget it. Since this question is extremely important, you must choose a very strikingly important question the answer to which will always be in your memory but also be confidential to you.

Specific instructions for password characters

  • The Password must be 8 to 13 character long.
  • It should have at least one Upper case alphabet.
  • It should also contain at least one Lower case alphabet.
  • One numeric value should also be included in the password.

JEE Main 2018 Application Form number

Once you submit some preliminary details in JEE Main 2018 application form, you will get JEE Main 2018 Application Form Number. Post-registration, Candidates can head over to the website and login their credentials. The JEE Main 2018 login ID is your application number and the password is the one which you selected during registration.

 Forgot Credentials?

If by chance, you forget your application number and/or password for your JEE Main 2018 login ID, you may recover it through the following process:

Forgot application form number

If you have forgotten the application form number of JEE Main 2018 application form, you can recover it online. On the JEE Main 2018 login page, go through following steps.

  • Click on “I can’t access my account”.
  • Then tick against “I forgot my application number”.
  • You will reach a page where you can enter other details to retrieve form number. Specifically in this case, enter name, mother’s name, father’s name, date of birth, state of eligibility. Click on submit.
  • You will now get the application form number.

Forgot password

In the event that you forget password, you can retrieve in a similar way as described for application form number. Go to the login page and carry out these steps.

  • Click in “I can’t access my account”.
  • Select “I forgot my password” and click continue.
  • Now you can choose to get password using either “security question”, or “verification code via SMS”, or “reset link via email”.
  • If you select security question, enter application number, select security question from drop down, enter security answer and click on submit.
  • On opting to get password through verification code, you will be asked to enter application number, date of birth. Then you will be able to retrieve password through SMS.
  • Otherwise you can select option “using a reset link sent via Email to your Registered Email address”. Here you will enter application number and date of birth and get reset link to email.
