JEE Main OMR Display

The OMR sheets of JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) pen and paper based exam will be displayed to the public from April 24 to 27, 2018. The answer key for both the papers i.e. paper-1 and paper-2 will be released along with the OMR sheets. After entering the application number, roll number and password, the candidate can download the OMR sheet. A sample JEE Main OMR sheet can be viewed here.

You can click here to view the JEE Main 2018 Answer Key right after the exam.

Marking Scheme

  1. Once candidates have viewed the answer key and OMR sheet, they can also tally their answers by matching the answers marked in their answer sheet and the answers given in answer key. If the answer is correct, the candidate will be awarded 4 marks for each question.
  2. If the answer marked by the candidate doesn’t match with the answers provided in the answer sheet, it means the candidate has marked an incorrect response. So, the answer will be negatively marked i.e. the ¼ of the marks allotted to that particular question will be deducted.
  3. If a candidate didn’t attempt a question, that question will not be evaluated and the candidate will secure zero marks for that particular question. Based on this marking scheme and the number of questions attempted correct and incorrect, the candidate can calculate the total marks they will be securing in the JEE Mains.

Challenging JEE Main OMR Sheet displayed

If candidate’s response is not correctly captured, they can challenge it through an online application form and by paying a sum of Rs. 1000/- per question. If the response marked by the candidate is found to be correct, the fee paid by the candidates will be refunded. The payment has to be made online, using Debit/Credit Card or through e-challan. The final decision on the answer key will be taken by the JAB/CBSE and no further communication will be entertained regarding it.
