KVPY 2018 Admit Card Download
KVPY 2018 applications will start from 3rd week of July’18. Candidates must make sure they complete the entire application procedure before the last date of the application i.e. fourth week of November. The KVPY 2018 admit card for the esteemed “Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana” (KVPY) scholarship examination can be downloaded once the official notification is out. KVPY is a program started in 1999 by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India and aims to identify talented students and motivate them to pursue career in scientific research. The exam is conducted by Indian Institute of Science (IISc) around first week of November 2018 in both offline and online modes and registered candidates can download their admit cards around the second week of October.
KVPY 2018 Admit Card Date
Candidates can download their KVPY admit card here once the official notification is out. It will be released somewhere around mid-October, 2018. Last year KVPY admit cards were made available on 16th October.
Instructions to download admit card
To download the admit card, registered candidates can simply follow the procedure given below.
- Visit the official website of KVPY.
- Click on ‘Download KVPY 2018 Admit card’. You will be redirected to a form.
- Provide your application number, password & Date of birth. Hit login button.
- Click on ‘Generate KVPY 2018 Admit Card’. It will be displayed on the screen.
- You can now download the KVPY 2018 Admit card.
- It’s best that you take print out of the Admit card & also save it offline for future use
It is important that you complete the KVPY 2018 application procedure before going for download of KVPY 2018 Admit card.
If you have forgotten your password, then click on the ‘Forgot Password’ button and follow the instructions to retrieve your password. Candidates who haven’t completed their registration are advised to first complete their application form here(once the official notification is out)
KVPY 2018 Application Fee
As stated above, to be able to download KVPY 2018 admit card, KVPY application procedure must be completed. KVPY 2018 application fee depends on category of the candidate. Following table shows category wise application fee to be submitted only online.

Once you login, and your admit card is available, you are advised to first check your details and then print sufficient number of copies. You may also save it as a pdf file for future use.
Details on your KVPY 2018 Admit Card
The following details will be printed on your admit card:
- Candidate’s Name.
- KVPY Roll No. & Registration No.
- Exam details – Date, Venue & Time.
- Candidate’s Photograph
- Candidate’s Signature.
- Instructions for KVPY 2018.
Candidates must make sure they check that their details are all correctly mentioned in the KVPY 2018 Admit Card.

Q. 1 There is a spelling error in my name (or another error) in the KVPY 2018 admit card. What should I do?
Ans. Candidates must make sure that they bring this to the notice of the organising committee by contacting the KVPY Helpdesk at one of these Telephone No: 080-22932975, 080-22932976, 080-23601008 , 080-22933536.
Q. 2 Can we ask our School/College authorities to request bulk applications?
Ans Candidates have to apply via online mode only. No hard copy of the application will be made available. Bulk applications from school/college authorities will also not be entertained.
Q. 3What is the meaning of the phrase ‘computer based test’?
Ans. The test will be conducted using an easy-to-use portal online. Since the interface is very user friendly, no prior experience with computer tests is needed. If the students who choose to take the computer based test wish to familiarise themselves they will be directed to a web link that contains a mock aptitude test hosted on the same portal.
Q. 4 Can I take a computer based test in Hindi?
Q. 5 Is it necessary that the students have to study all the four subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics?
Ans. The test is available stream-wise. Here’s some information
- In the Stream-SA all questions are compulsory (Science and Mathematics)
- For the streams SB and SX , there will be four sections in Part I (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics) and four sections in Part II (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics). Candidates are allowed to answer any THREE of the four subjects in Part I and any TWO of the four subjects in Part II.
Q. 6 Can I avail the KVPY Fellowship along with a merit scholarship?
Ans. KVPY does not allow its fellows to receive simultaneous fellowship /scholarship from another source, either government or private. In case if they receive any other fellowship or scholarship, they will have to relinquish it in order to avail the KVPY Fellowship or vice versa.
Make sure your personal information and the selected stream are correct. Note down the roll number and examination details regarding venue, date and time. And it is advised to go through the instructions carefully and follow them during exam. In case of any discrepancies, contact the helpline desk listed in the FAQ : Q. 1.
KVPY aims to make sure that bright minds in the country are attracted to fields of scientific research and development. Selected KVPY fellows will be provided with generous fellowships and grants up to the pre Ph.D. level or 5 years whichever is earlier. Selected KVPY fellows are also enrolled in summer camps in the prestigious institutes of research in the country, where they will attend lectures, visit laboratories and interact with scientists at work. Moreover, KVPY is one of the selection criteria for admissions to the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru.
