Manipal University MBBS Admission 2017
The registrations for the undergraduate medical courses in Manipal University will start tentatively in the 2nd week of May 2017. Manipal University will not be conducting any entrance examination for medical admissions. Instead all admissions will be done through counselling conducted by Manipal University MBBS Admission 2017. Since no entrance examination for Manipal University MBBS Admission 2017 will be held, applicants will be granted admission based on their NEET 2017 scores. Therefore, all applicants have to qualify NEET 2017 with the required minimum marks. Manipal University MBBS 2017 Eligibility Criteria
Listed is the eligibility criteria of University MBBS Admission 2017. If any of the following criteria is not met, the applicant would not be allowed to participate in the counselling session.
- Nationality: The applicant must be of Indian nationality.
- Age: Must be 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2017.
- Educational Qualification: Should have passed 10+2th standard with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually and have a score of minimum 50% marks in Physics, Biology/Biotechnology and Chemistry together.
- NEET 2017: General category applicants will have to secure 50th Percentile in NEET 2017 while reserved category applicants will have to score 40th Percentile. Applicants belonging to the Physical Disability category will have to score 45th Percentile in NEET 2017.
Manipal University MBBS 2017 Application Form
The online application form of Manipal University MBBS Admission 2017 will be available for all eligible applicants tentatively from the 2nd week of May, 2017. The applicants will be able to fill and submit the form in online mode. It is advised to read the eligibility criteria before filling the application form.
The applicants will have to fill the application form online. Registration will have to be done using their name, contact number, email id, course name and residing city. The applicants will also have to select the course for which they are applying for. All relevant fields have to be filled in by the applicants. Incomplete or invalid application forms will be disqualified. The applicants will also be required to pay the application fee through online or offline mode. After final submission, a printout of the application form can be taken for future reference. The applicants will also have to mail the printed copy of the completed application form along with the Demand Draft/Challan (if payment is not done online) to – The Director, Admissions, Manipal University, Manipal – 576104.

Manipal University MBBS 2017 Merit List
The merit list will be announced tentatively in the 2nd week of June, 2017 by the conducting authority of Manipal University MBBS Admission 2017. It will be released online, consisting of the names and ranking of all applicants who have successfully qualified for the counselling session. The merit list will be prepared based on the state merit list released for NEET 2017 by CBSE. The applicants will be called for counselling according to their ranking in the released merit list.
Manipal University MBBS 2017 Counselling
The counselling session of University MBBS Admission 2017 will be held in offline mode tentatively in the 4th week of June, 2017. The admission committee of Manipal University will be responsible for the counselling session. The venue for the counselling session will be the University campus . Admissions will be done based on the ranking of the applicants in the merit list. Only those applicants who have registered themselves and are present in the merit list will be allowed to join the counselling process.
The applicants will be called in for counselling based on their ranking in the released merit list. The physical presence of the applicant is necessary for counselling. In case the applicant cannot make it to the counselling session due to some reason, then he/she can choose a representative to attend the session. According to the ranking of the applicant, he/she will be called in for biometric and document verification. Seats will be allotted according to the applicant’s preference and availability of seats in the institute. After getting allotted seats, the applicants will have to submit their original documents and requisite fees. Failure to produce the original documents or pay the fees will lead to the disqualification of the applicant.
The second round of counselling will be held in case there are vacant seats still left. The process of counselling will be the same as the first round. Registered applicants who failed to get seats allotted to them will be allowed to participate in the second round.
