Manipal University Application Form 2018 is now available online for various courses and in order to apply, candidates need to register first. On successful registration, application number / username and password are generated which are then required for login. Candidates are then required to fill the application form with correct and authentic information. The form can be submitted after completing the application and paying the fees online.

3-Step Application Process:

  • Step 1: Personal details, course applied for
  • Step 2: Photo and signature upload (please keep scans of your passport photo and signature ready)
  • Step 3: Payment and complete address 

Fees include:

  • Rs 600: application fee 
  • Rs 1400: entrance test fee (for some courses only)

Hence, the total fee candidates need to pay is Rs. 2000. This amount can be paid via Demand Draft or by Credit/Debit Card.

Remember !

  • A username and password will be generated when you apply online for MU OET 2018. These details should be kept safe for future reference.
  • Enter same spelling of your name in the Manipal University Application Form as it appears in your qualifying examination marks card.
  • Carefully select the details of the program, stream and category while filling the form.
  •  Keep a copy of the filled in MU OET form for reference and note down the application number.
  • Printed copy of the completed Manipal University Application Form 2018 has to be sent to the concerned authorities if the fee is paid by DD or challan.

How to fill Manipal University Application Form 2018?

Follow the steps listed below carefully and filling the Manipal Application Form 2018 will be a walk in the park. Basically the form requires:

Step 3- Educational Qualification:

Details to be entered:

  • School/Institution Name
  • Qualifying Exam

Step 5- Upload Documents in Application Form

Documents to be uploaded for MU OET are:

  • Recent passport size photograph,
  • Signature of the candidate.

Step 6- Pay Application Fee

Select program and pay the Application fee. You can apply for one or more than one program in the same group.

  • Test center preference 2

Pay Application fee through DD:

  • If you are paying through Demand Draft, you need to keep the details of the DD like DD no., IFSC Code etc., ready while applying.

Pay Application fee through Credit Card or Net Banking:

  • If you choose to pay online, you will be redirected to an external site for payment. Click on Submit and Continue.
  • Your Credit Card statement will show the transaction as coming from CCAVENUE. Please quote your Transaction ID for any queries relating to this request.
  • Confirm your payment and submit the form.

If you wish to apply for programs in different groups, you should apply using another Manipal University application form and make a separate payment.

Manipal University Application Form 2018 Tracking:

  • You can track the application status to know status of receipt and acceptance of the form.
  • As per scheduled dates announced by the University, go for MU OET 2018 slot booking and download Manipal University Admit Card 2018.
  • Download and print the hall ticket and appear for the entrance exam on scheduled date at assigned test center.
  • Preserve the application log in details, application number/ID, password and admit card for later use.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for different programs are different. Check eligibility below:

For B.Tech:

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have qualified 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
  • Subjects: Pass the above exam with Mathematics, Physics & English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology or any technical vocational subject.
  • Minimum Marks: Secure 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics & any one of the optional subjects.
  • Marks in Entrance Exam: Candidates have to obtain minimum 50% marks in MU OET exam.
  • Age Limit: No minimum age limit.

For B.Tech Lateral Entry:

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates have to pass 3 years Diploma in Engineering & 10+2 examinations from a recognized university.
  • Subjects: Qualify the 10+2 exam with Mathematics as the main subject.
  • Minimum Marks: Score at least 45% marks in the qualifying examination.
  • Age Limit: No minimum age limit.

For M.Tech:

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates have to clear their BE/B.Tech or AMIE or equivalent exam from a recognized university.
  • Minimum Marks: Pass the above exam with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
  • Marks in Entrance Exam: Candidates must secure minimum 50% marks in MU OET exam.
  • Age Limit: There is no minimum age limit to apply.

For BBA:

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates have to pass 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
  • Minimum Marks: Candidates must qualify the above examination with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
  • Age Limit: No minimum age limit.

MU OET Exam Pattern

The exam pattern of MU OET will vary for various courses offered by the Manipal University. The examination will be conducted in the English language. Check the exam pattern below:

For B.Tech/B.Pharm/PharmD:

  • Mode of Exam: The exam will be organized through online mode.
  • Group: Group 1 for BPharm/PharmD courses & Group 2 for BTech/BPharm/Pharm D courses)
  • Duration: The duration of the exam will be two hours thirty minutes (2½ hours).
  • Type of Questions: The question paper will consist of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ).
  • No. of Questions: Total 200 MCQ type questions will be asked in the MU OET exam.
  • Marking Scheme: For the correct answer, one mark will be given to the candidate.
  • Negative Marking: There will be no negative marking.

  • No. of Questions: For M.Tech, total 60 questions will be asked. For MCA, total 100 questions will come in the exam.
  • Marking Scheme: Four marks will be awarded to the candidates for each correct answer.
  • Negative Marking: For the wrong answer, one mark will be deducted.
