Student & Alumni Reviews
- Sandeep (Batch 2020) :
Course reviewed : B.Tech. in Automobile Engineering, Manipal Institute of Technology
Manipal, the beginning of your new life.
Placements : The best regarding the placement of the current situation. Great companies like Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Mercedes visit the college to hire the students. For stats regarding the placements, you can refer college website manipal.edu. The highest stipend will be more than 20 lakhs per annum, and the lowest will be around two to three lakhs per annum by mass recruiters like Wipro and Tata Consultancy Service(TCS).
Infrastructure : The best regarding the infrastructure. We have five academic blocks and an official building, which is named as edu building, and known to everyone in Manipal. When it comes to the academic block, the ab1 is the old one, which is quadrangle with directors office and some of the class will be held here. The ab2 is the civil engineering block consists of the classrooms for architecture students. The ab3 is called new lecture hall(NLH), which is 4-floor building with the centralised classrooms for the first year students are beautiful. The ab4 is called an innovation centre, where you will have some labs it has centralised A/C. Then comes the ab5, the biggest, where most of the classrooms are for the seniors will be conducted and has one of the finest architecture. The hostels are amazing, the view of western that mesmerises you every morning and for more pictures, you can google.
Faculty : Here, most of the faculty members are localite. They are friendly and are always ready to help you in any minute. The course will be reshuffled for every four years, and you will have a maximum of 4 classes per day. Only two days a week we have labs with four classes rest of the days either it will be morning shift or noon shift.
Other : Here, you have various clubs to keep your precious time engaged. Some of them are technical and some are non-technical, you will have an immense experience with these clubs, and you will learn a lot of new things apart from engineering. There are various tourist spots like beaches and western ghats forts, which will make your college days memorable.
2. Ajay (Batch of 2020) :
Course reviewed : B.Tech. in Information Technology, Manipal Institute of Technology
Great for computer-related branches and mechanical. Great if you can learn things on your own
Placements : Most of our seniors got placed. Around 95% of those who applied to be specific. Since the placements are still going on, I am not sure about the highest package, but Amazon has taken around 5-6 of our students. Microsoft has also taken 10 students as interns. Many companies are paying 20+ LPA.
Infrastructure : The infrastructure is amazing and one of the best you can find in India. There are almost all facilities available here, and there is little to ask for. The library is spacious, and the classrooms are amazing and air-conditioned. There are also various sports facilities available.
Faculty : The course curriculum isn’t that relevant, to be honest. But because it is a computer-related branch, most of the learning has to happen by ourselves. Faculty members are average. However, my friends in mechanical say that their course is relevant. The same goes for civil.
