MHT CET 2018 Merit List

The MHT CET 2018 Merit List will be available in the fourth week of June 2018. The entrance examination of MHT CET 2018 will be conducted on 10th May, 2018. The merit/rank list is prepared for admission of the candidates to various engineering and technology courses. DTE Maharashtra, the exam conducting body, publishes MHTCET Merit List after complete verification of documents and the eligibility of candidates.

  • The names of all of the applicants who have qualified and are eligible for the counselling session will be present in the MHT CET 2018 merit list.
  • Along with the names, the rankings of the applicants will also be listed in the released MHT CET 2018 Merit List.
  • Only those applicants who are listed in the merit list will be called in for counselling. The MHT CET merit list will be published only after the release of the result.
  • Certainly required marks will have to be scored by the applicants to be eligible for admission.
  • The MHT CET 2018 merit list will be prepared by the conducting body on the basis of the cut off and performance of the applicants.

Earlier, the MHT CET 2016 merit list was declared by DTE on 10th June 2016.

How to Check MHT CET 2018 Merit List?

The following simple steps can be used to access the MHT CET 2018 merit list which will be published online tentatively in June 2018.

    • The applicants will be able to access the link to the MHT CET merit list 2018 here as soon as it is released by the admission committee.

  • Submission of application ID and date of birth has to be done by the applicants.
  • The merit list will be reflected on the screen for the reference of the applicants.

Candidates must ensure that they treat deadlines as sacrosanct and act immediately. Candidates have their MHT CET scorecards to their avail for grievance submissions. Grievance submission can be done any of the facilitation centres.

MHT CET seat matrix for this year will be displayed on third week of June, 2018. Candidates must submit & confirm their seat choices according to the official MHT CET seat matrix in fourth week of June, 2018. Here’s the official MHT CET CAP schedule

Tie Breaking Method of MHT CET 2018 Merit List

While preparing the merit list, some situations may arise when two or more applicants secure the same scores in the examination. During these situations, the admission committee will break the tie using the following method as per the order.

  • The total number of negative responses in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together will be considered. The applicant with the lowest number of negative responses will be given preference.
  • The applicants with higher marks in Maths will be preferred.
  • Those applicants with higher marks in Chemistry will be preferred.
  • The applicants who have scored higher percentage aggregate marks in the qualifying examination will be given preference.
  • Finally, the applicant senior in age will be given preference over the younger applicant.

The non-late online application form will be made available till fourth week of March 2018. Candidates can also apply till first week of April 2018 with a late fee of Rs. 500, here.
