The table shows that there has been a steady increase in the number of students who have appeared for the MP Board 12th standard examination. It was 6.2 lakhs in 2013 and has now increased to 7.65 lakhs in 2018. For the past few years though the number has been in the 7 lakh category only. There has not been much of an increment since 2015. The overall pass percentage also has been stuck in the range of 65% to 70%.
We also concluded that if we compare the passing percentages of boys and the girls then we can see that there was very small difference almost in every year. In the year 2017, total 7,13,262 students appeared in the exam out of which 70.11% students passed the exam.
As derived from the table above, in 2016, the MP Board class 12 overall pass percentage was 68.30 while in 2017 it was 67.87%. Therefore, we can see that the MP Board results of 2017 were lower than 2016, this dip can be due to the fact that the Board officials have taken strict measures to curb cheating and many students couldn’t write well in the exams. Strict measures were also set up this year, but hopefully, students have prepared really well this time.
