NEET 2018: Online Application to start in January

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), a national level competitive examination for the students aspiring to pursue higher studies and a career in the medical and dental fields, will be releasing its online application form in the month of January 2018, as per the latest reports.

The NEET online application form will be available on their official website, www.cbseneet.nic.in. The aspiring candidates should check the information brochure available in the website and verify that they fulfill the mentioned eligibility criteria before filling in their personal details in the application form. The students must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English in their class 12th level and must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate for general category candidates, 45% marks for General-PH and 40% marks for SC/ST & OBC candidates in their final qualifying examination.

Regarding the tentative dates of the NEET application process, the last date for filling the application form is around the last week of January 2018. The students may download their admit cards from the website in the month of April 2018, while the exam will be held presumably in the 1st week of May 2018. The results of NEET 2018 will be available on the official website on providing the candidate’s roll number in the 1st week of June 2018. This will be followed by an online counseling process, the details of which will be intimated in the official website, www.cbseneet.nic.in in due course of time.

All the medical and dental institutes approved by the Medical Council of India/ Dental Council of India must consider the NEET regulations and permit admission only to the students who qualify the NEET examination with a valid NEET score.

The question paper pattern is objective type (four options with one correct option), with a total of 180 questions on Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The 3 hour long examination will be held offline in various centres across the country.
