How to check NEET UG 2018 results online

  • Click on ‘Submit’.
  • Your NEET UG 2018 results will be displayed on the screen.
  • Download the result and take multiple printouts for future reference.

NEET 2018 OMR & Scorecard

The images of OMR Sheet and Responses captured by the machine were displayed on the official website. Answer Key and OMR sheet were declared on 27th May, 2018. It is worth noting that the NEET UG 2018 results of the successful candidates will be valid for the academic session 2018-19 only. Candidates can view & download their scorecards here. The NEET 2018 scorecard is released only in the online mode and consists of the following details:

  • Personal Details of the candidate such as Name, Parent’s Names, Gender, Date of Birth, Category, Roll No., Application No., etc.
  • Marks secured in Physics, Chemistry, & Biology.
  • Total marks secured.
  • Total percentile obtained.
  • NEET Category Rank.
  • NEET All India Rank (AIR).
  • NEET All India Quota Rank (for 15% seats).
  • Cut-off Score for counselling under All India Seats.
  • Exam Qualifying Status (whether qualified NEET 2018 or not).

Candidates must check all the details in the scorecard and download it to be produced during the NEET counselling procedure.

NEET UG 2018 results will be declared only through the online mode. No individual scorecard will be sent to candidates under any circumstances.

NEET 2018 Answer Key

The answer key for NEET 2018 is likely to be released in some time. The official NEET 2018 Answer Key will contain the correct answers of the NEET 2018 examination. CBSE had released NEET 2018 Answer Keys in the online mode and the candidates can download the answer key and compare their responses in the exam to those in the answer key and predict their tentative score in the NEET 2018 examination.

Steps to download the NEET 2018 Answer Key

  • Visit the official website.
  • Click on the ‘NEET 2018 Answer Key’ tab.
  • The answer keys of all sets will appear on the screen.
  • Download the answer key and compare your responses with it.
  • Take a printout of the answer key for future reference.

Challenging the NEET 2018 Answer Key

CBSE will give candidates an opportunity to challenge the answer keys. Candidates who are not satisfied with the answer key can raise challenges to the answer key by paying Rs. 1000 per challenge. The challenge fee will be refunded if the challenge is admitted by the board. Please note that no challenges to answer key will be entertained after the due date.

Steps to Challenge the NEET 2018 Answer Key

  • Navigate to the NEET candidate login page.
  • Enter your NEET 2018 Registration Number and Password.
  • Click on the ‘Answer Key Challenge’ tab and select the answer booklet code.
  • Select the question you want to challenge and click on ‘Submit’.
  • Select your answer and give comments/justifications for your answer.
  • Click on the ‘Confirm’ tab and pay the answer key challenge fee.
  • You can pay the fee i.e. Rs. 1000 per answer through Debit Card/Credit Card.
  • Take a printout of the confirmation slip which contains details of the answer key challenged.

NEET 2018 Cut-Off

Cut-off marks for NEET 2018 are the minimum marks that a candidate needs to secure in order to qualify NEET 2018. The cut-off marks depend on various factors such as the number of applicants, difficulty level of the exam, marking scheme, etc. The NEET cut-off 2018 for admission will vary from state to state and for each category of students. NEET 2018 cutoff will be declared alongside the NEET 2018 answer key.

NEET 2018 Merit List

CBSE will prepare a merit list for 15% AlQ Seats based on the cut-off score of NEET 2018. Only the candidates qualifying NEET 2018 will be allowed to take part in the 15% AIQ Counselling procedure and the seats will be allotted according to the candidate’s rank and preference. The NEET 2018 merit list will feature only those candidates who secure the minimum percentile score as indicated in the NEET 2018 cut-off.

NEET 2018 Tie- Breaking Process

In the event of two or more candidates securing equal marks in NEET 2018, the inter-se merit of such candidates will be determined in the following manner:

  • Candidates securing higher marks in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the entrance test.
  • Candidates obtaining higher marks in Chemistry.
  • Candidates who have attempted less wrong answers.
  • If the tie still persists, the candidate older in age will be given preference.

Courses Offered after NEET

There are 65,000 MBBS and 25,000 BDS seats available under NEET 2018. Once NEET UG 2018 results are out, candidates will have to start thinking about the college and courses they want. NEET 2018 Online Reporting of Resignation

Candidates who wish to resign from the UG seat allotted through 15% All India Quota UG 2018 Round-2 are advised to obtain online generated resignation/seat surrender receipt from allotted college (generated through online counselling software).

Facility for online reporting of resignation is available on your allotted colleges and will be available till 05:00 PM of 30.07.2018. All Participating Institutions are requested to report online all those Resignations (Surrender) of Allotted seats, in respect of candidates who were relieved offline, if any.

Please note that there is no need to send information about Resignation offline in any form (through e-mail, fax, or by post). Please note that if any candidate resigns, then she/he will not be eligible to participate in a further round of 15% All India Quota Online counselling UG 2018.

NEET 2018 Counselling

After the announcement of the NEET UG 2018 results, the counselling procedure for admission to various medical and dental colleges for the academic year 2018-18 will begin. The students are selected to colleges based on their rankings and merit.

Counselling for NEET 2018 is carried out in the online mode comprising of two rounds. The counselling for 15% AIQ seats will be conducted by MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) in the month of June/July 2018. The NEET 2018 AIQ Seats counselling will be conducted for admissions to seats in government medical and state dental colleges for only those states which have agreed to open their seats for it. The non-participating states will conduct counselling for 100% state quota seats. All the different state governments will conduct separate two-round counselling process for admission to state quota seats in their government and private colleges.

Eligible candidates wishing to take part in the NEET 2018 counselling procedure need to register themselves in the online mode for the counselling procedure within the given time-frame. Candidates also need to carry their set of original documents when appearing for NEET 2018 Counselling. Their admission confirmation will be dependent on producing these documents, failing which they will not be allowed to join any MBBS or BDS course through NEET 2018.

  • NEET 2018 Admit Card/Hall Ticket.
  • NEET 2018 Result.
  • Class 12 Certificate.
  • Date of Birth Proof.
  • 10 Passport size photographs (same as on the application form).
  • ID Proof (Aadhar Card, Domicile Certificate, PAN Card, Driving Licence, Voter Id or Passport).
  • Provisional Allotment Letter.
  • Caste Certificate issued by a competent authority (if applicable).
  • OBC Certificate issued by a competent authority (if applicable).
  • PH-Certificate issued by a competent authority as specified in the NEET 2018 prospectus (if applicable).
