The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Telangana will be conducting the National Talent Search Examination- NTSE on 5th November 2017 from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm at the various allocated centers throughout the state. The NTSE Hall Ticket will be made available on the official website of the BSE, Telangana – bse.telengana.gov.in and are expected to be out anytime now.

The NTSE is an exam conducted to determine the meritorious students of class X who are worthy of scholarships.

The applications for appearing the NTSE were released in September 2017. The candidates who have enrolled for the exam may download their NTSE hall ticket -as soon as made available- by following these simple steps:

  1. Visit the official website bse.telangana.gov.in
  2. Select the NTSE Hall Ticket option
  3. Fill in the required fields
  4. Download and take a print for reference

NTSE and Scholarship:

As per the directions of NCERT, New Delhi, The Directorate of Government Examinations, Telangana, Hyderabad conducts NTSE and NMMS Examination every year in November. Students studying in Class X from any recognized school can appear for the examination. The candidate who is selected in the merit list of second level norms is awarded the NCERT scholarship.

The Scholarships awarded are:

  1. Rs. 1250/- per month at the 1st and 2nd-year Intermediate Level
  2. Rs. 2000/- per month up to Post Graduation
  3. Scholarship as per UGC norms at the Ph.D. level

Examination Pattern:

The National Talent Search Examination, NTSE 2017 will be divided into three parts:

  • Mental Ability Test (MAT)
  • Language Test (LT)
  • Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)

The total number of questions will be 200 and maximum marks obtained can be 200.

Forty-five minutes will be allotted to solving 50 questions each of Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Language Test (LT). Ninety minutes will be allotted to solve 100 questions of Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)
