This college was founded in 2009 when Government of Gujarat has given 25 acres of land in Ahmedabad. It was inaugurated by the then chief minister, Mr. Narendra Modi.
Following permission from MCI to start M.B.B.S. course in 2011, 150 medical students were enrolled for the same. It also has 23 NRI medical seats. Gujarat Cancer Society runs this medical college. This society is very old and was founded in 1961 and since then it has been providing care to the patient suffering from cancer.
