Miss Ria from Gurdaspur district secured a respectable 98% marks and claimed the third position.

Last year, the commerce stream students scored a pass percentage of 76.64%, followed by the Science stream at 73.74%, Vocational by 63.03%, and Humanities with 57.33%. The maximum number of students appeared in the humanities group i.e. 2,16,097 students, out of which, 1,23,879 were successful. The pass percentage for General English was 75.53%, for Mathematics 86.74%, and for History, it was 83.24%.
About the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB)
The PSEB was formed through a legislative enactment in November 1969 to monitor the development and promotion of school education in the state of Punjab. In 1987, the Vidhan Sabha amended the Board’s Act and granted autonomy to PSEB. The Board’s area of operations is very wide and covers almost all the aspects of school education in the state of Punjab. The Board is responsible for conducting public examinations at the Middle, Matriculation, and the Senior Secondary Level. The Board prescribes the curriculum, courses of studies, and textbooks for school education and has a full-fledged academic wing.
