About the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan

The Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan has been in existence since 1957 and was constituted under the Rajasthan Secondary Education Act 1957. RBSE is a board of school-level education in the state of Rajasthan. The Board has its headquarters in Ajmer and is responsible for the promotion and development of secondary education in Rajasthan.

As per the data available on the official website, a total of 25,642 schools are registered with RBSE at Secondary (Class 10) level and 9,241 schools at Senior Secondary (Class 12) level. It may be noted that the data mentioned above is as per the records of 2013-14. The board under its jurisdiction conducts evaluation examinations through Secondary School Examination and Senior Secondary Examination. Every year more than 15 lakh students register for the Rajasthan Board examinations, which are considered for admission to undergraduate courses in the colleges.

RBSE is responsible for conducting many exams for Class 10 and Class 12 students. The various examinations that are conducted by RBSE include:
