Top 10 schools in Arunachal Pradesh:

Arunachal Pradesh is the land of Dawn-Lit Mountains located in India. Being a part of North-Eastern cluster of states, government has given high priority on education of children here. There are many government schools which are very good in providing all the facilities to the students. Apart from them, there are some very good private schools also. Here is a list of the top 10 schools in Arunachal Pradesh.

  1. Kendriya Vidhyalaya (KV)

All KVs are affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE). They are co-educational schools. The quality of teaching is kept reasonably high by an appropriate teacher-pupil ratio. There is no tuition fee for boys up to Class VIII, girls up to Class XII and SC/ST students and children of KVS (KV Sangathan) employees. There is Nominal fees for boys of Unreserved Category above class VIII.  These are government schools run KV Sangathan.

  1. Jawahar Navodaya Vidhyalaya(JNV)

JNVs can be found in every district of the country. So, there are at least 10 JNVs in the state. JNVs are affiliated to CBSE. They are residential co-educational schools which means that you can get hostel facility in the school. But these schools take students after class V only. Students have to give an entrance test after class V to get admission into JNVs. Reservation in admission is there. Also, fees system is just like that of KVs. These are also government schools run Jawahar Navodaya Samiti.

  1. Assam Rifles Secondary School, Jairampur

It is located in C/o 7, Assam Rifles, Jairampur, Changland. It is a Co-Educational Secondary School affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Provisional basis since 1987. The school has been operating officially under Assam Rifles Para Miltary Force. It is a government school.

  1. Army Public School, Tenga Valley

It is located in Tenga Valley, West Kameng. It is a Co-Educational Secondary School institution affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Provisional basis since 1985. The school has been operating officially under the Army Welfare Education Society. It is a government school.

  1. Ramakrishna Mission School

It was started in the year 1966. It is located in Viveknagar, Aalo, West Siang. The Ramakrishna Mission School at Along is an English-medium co-educational school, having a mixture of residential and non-residential students, affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi. The School conducts Lower Primary to Class XII in three streams – Science, Commerce and Humanities.

  1. Boum Kakir Mission School, East Siang

It is a registered service oriented voluntary organization under societies registration act 1860 and has been established in the year 1979 under Donyi-Polo Mission/Boum Kakir Mission, Itanagar. This school is up to class X.  It is an English medium school. It has hostels for the students. It is recognized by government of Arunachal Pradesh and is affiliated to CBSE.

  1. Abotani Vidya Niketan, Naharlagun.

It is located in Pachim Colony, Naharlagun. It is a co-educational Secondary School affiliated to CBSE on Provisional basis since 1994. The school has been operating officially under Arunachal Shiksha Vikas Samiti. It is a government school.

  1. Don Bosco High Schools

These schools can be found in some of the districts of the state like Tirap, Papum pare, etc. School at Tirap is affiliated to ICSE board and at Papum pare is affiliated to CBSE. They have a chain of schools in the region and are believed to be good schools in nearby areas.  These schools are co-educational.  These are private schools run by the Salesians of Don Bosco. This chains of schools are certainly one of  the top 10 schools in Arunachal Pradesh!

  1. Delhi Public School, Itanagar

It is located in P.B. 135, Jully Road, Papum pare District, Itanagar. it is a Co-Educational Senior Secondary institution affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) since 2006. The school has been operating officially under the Eastern Education Promotional Society. It is a private school.

  1. Donyi Polo Mission School, Papum pare

It is a co-educational CBSE affiliated school established in the year 1986. It is run officially under the Donyi Polo Mission Society.  There is also a Donyi Polo Vidhya Bhavan which is in Itanagar, Papum pare. It was founded in the year 1981. This school is similar to Donyi Polo Mission School.
