It is a Higher Secondary Catholic School, founded in 1858 and now managed by the members of the Society of Jesus, a group of men dedicated to God’s greater glory through the service of mankind. It is affiliated to CBSE board. It is a Co-ed school. Total number of students studying in this school is more than 3000.
2. Delhi Public School, Patna
The foundation of veritable learning in Patna was laid by Takshila Educational Society by establishing Delhi Public School in the year 1998. It was a collaborative effort with the Delhi Public Schools Society, which is one of the largest chains of CBSE schools in India. DPS Patna is affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi and offers schooling from Nursery to Class XII. It is a Co-ed school.
3. Notre Dame Academy (NDA)
The Notre Dame Academy, Patna was founded on February 2, 1960, under control of the Patna Notre Dame Sister’s Society. It is a Roman Catholic school for girls in Patna. It is a higher secondary school serving girls from grade 1st till 12th. It is affiliated to CBSE board. This is one of the top schools in Bihar!
4. St Joseph’s School, Bhagalpur
It is an English medium school. It is affiliated to the ICSE board of education. It was established in 1983 by Rt. Rev Urban Mc Garry, the first Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Bhagalpur. It is a Co-ed school with an accomodaton of 1000+ students.
5. St. Joseph’s School, NTPC Kahalgaon
It is a senior secondary school. It is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education. It is owned and financed by National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd. (Kahalgaon). It is administered by the Catholic Diocese of Bhagalpur. It is founded on 14th July,1986 for both boys and girls from Class LKG to XII where the session runs from April to March. It is a Co-ed school.
6. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya group of schools (Barhat, Birauli, Nagarpara, Pacharhi)
These four schools are collectively the best boarding schools in Bihar. They are all Co-ed schools and affiliated to CBSE Board.
7. Carmel High School, Patna
Carmel School is a Christian Minority School established and administered by the Apostolic Carmel Educational Society of Bihar in the Roman Catholic Church. The school has affiliation from Bihar Secondary Board of Education as well as from Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination(ICSE). Thus provide education in both Hindi and English medium. This school is for Girls only.
8. Creane Memo High School, Katari Hill Road, Gaya
It is a senior secondary school affiliated to CBSE Board and was found in the year 1940. It is a co-ed school and is administered by Gaya Parish society. The school is equipped with 54 class rooms and all essential facilities, making it one of the top schools in Bihar.
9. Kendriya Vidyalaya, E C Railway, Samastipur
It is a senior secondary school founded in the year 1931 and is meant for students with civil backgrounds. It is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) like other KVs. It is a Co-ed school with 22+ classrooms and all the necessary facilities.
10. St. Joseph’s Convent High School, Patna
It is a minority school and was established in 1853 to provide all round education to girls. The school is amongst the oldest missionary schools in eastern India. It is situated at Bankipore on the banks of the river Ganges. The school provide both English as well as Hindi medium for education. The English medium is ICSE/ISC Board and Hindi medium is Bihar School Examination Board.
