EAMCET stands for Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test. It is an entrance examination that fetches one an admission in engineering and medical colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.  AP EAMCET belongs to the state of Andhra Pradesh and TS EAMCET belongs to Telangana. The test is based on “Multiple Choice Questions” format. TS EAMCET 2 offers to one, the admission in MBBS, BDS courses in the colleges under the state of Telangana. TS EAMCET 2 was conducted as per the schedule decided by the Telangana government in the month of June. However, later, the exam had to be scraped off due to the whole ‘Leaked-Paper’ fiasco around it. Reportedly, the questions of EAMCET 2 was already out to a few and it was only after the declaration of results that the government made some calls. The exam was obviously unfair to many and therefore a re-exam was planned. Consequently, TS EAMCET 3 was scheduled and conducted on 11th of September which was same as TS EAMCET 2 only with a different set of questions and a tighter security.  The government proposed that all the students who appeared for TS EAMCET 2 will be sitting for TS EAMCET 3 and that their previous scores have no count anymore. The candidates wouldn’t be charged any application charge but will have to download a new Admit Card.

This, however, didn’t go very well with a few candidates and their parents. In their opinion, a re-exam would mean that they’ll have to revise and reprepare everything provided that there was a considerable gap between the two exams. At some levels, this response was acceptable. After all, you need a week to learn something and only a day to forget it. The govt. however, went forward with their decision and TS EAMCET 3 was conducted successfully. The paper was way tougher than the last time as the concerned authority were very serious about the issue.  Follow what comes after to know more about how things proceeded for TS EAMCET 3.

  3. Verification of certificates of candidates.
  4. The online counselling.
  5. The final seat allotment in different colleges based on the rank.

Post Examination: Its Your Story!

What is the first thing that a student would crave for once they walk out of the examination hall? The correct answers! It is no less than the ‘Judgement-Day’ for them. The actual counselling may start later but the virtual counselling starts right at the moment the examination gets over. With TS EAMCET 3, the scenario was even more intense. As the students already had their share of answer keys after TS EAMCET 2, there was a certain level of expectations from the students to deliver better than or equal to the last time. Anything lesser than that would be a disappointment for students first and their relatives later. This sure would have given rise to extra pressure on students. With the paper being tougher than before, most of the students couldn’t match up to the score they had in EAMCET 2 but they had no option but to deal with the situation.

The unofficial answer keys for any of the examination are out in the market by a couple of hours past the examination. Thanks to the number of coaching institutes that we have in our country. But, no one can guarantee the authenticity of something unless its official. There is always a difference of +/-10 when you compare your answers with unofficial answer keys and the official answer keys one after the other. Also to thank some of the questions that are typed wrong or have logical errors associated with it, they do add/subtract a decent share of score depending on whether you attempted it or not.

The official website came up with the answer key without much of a delay. The answers were made available at tseamcet.in. The EAMCET 3 paper was set by JNTU(Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad) and the official answer key was released by the same. It was made available for the students to download it.

How do you download the TS EAMCET 3 answer key?

TS EAMCET 3 Results

Back in June, officers conducted TS EAMCET 2 and published its result

ult but as mentioned earlier in the article, the exam had to be cancelled later on as it was discovered that the paper got leaked before the exam commenced. So, to make things fair for everyone, TS EAMCET 3 was conducted on 11th of September. The process had a smooth sailing this time around.

The Result for TS EAMCET 3 didn’t take too long and it was only 4 days after the exam i.e. on 15th of September that the Result was published at 5 in the evening. Most of the students performed worse than the previous attempt as the paper set was tougher than the last time. It was because the management was much more strict this time. However, Since everyone scored lower, this didn’t have much adverse effect on the counselling process and more than not, candidates got the college they deserved. Moreover, out of 56,153 candidates, only 40,500 candidates downloaded their hall tickets and over 2000 students didn’t report to the exam centre. This, in a way, made the competition less and a left a few seats to stay vacant.

The rank for EAMCET 3 was/is decided, taking into account 75% weightage of the marks secured in the written MCQ test and 25% weightage of the marks scored in the core subjects – Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

To Conclude with

This was the entire, if I may call it, ‘Journey’ of TS EAMCET. It had everything in it, from political involvement to students rioting against it. The government made a tough call back then, judging the correctness of which is not our cup of tea. One thing is for sure, conducting and taking in students only based on EAMCET 2 would be more unfair.
EAMCET 3 was the right step at the right time!
