About the UP Board-

The Uttar Pradesh (UP) Board was set up in the year 1921 at Allahabad by an act of United Provinces Legislative Council. It conducted its first examination in 1923. The Board of High School and Intermediate Education Uttar Pradesh is the Uttar Pradesh state government administered autonomous examining authority for the Class 10 examination (or secondary school level examination) and Class 12 examination (or inter-college level examination) of Uttar Pradesh, India. This article is on UP Board result 2018.

The Intermediate Board has multiple streams like Arts, Science, Commerce, General, Vocational and other. The UPMSP stands for Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh State whereas UPBIE stands for Uttar Pradesh Board of Intermediate Education, Uttar Pradesh State. These two boards are the education boards of Uttar Pradesh state. After qualifying 10th which is Secondary School Certificate for 10th class, the candidates or the students prefer to join Intermediate, even some candidates or students prefer to join Diploma, ITI and other courses.

The Board of High School and Intermediate Education Uttar Pradesh conducts the Class 10 examinations every year during the month of March. The UP Board result 2018 will most likely be declared in the month of May 2018. The Uttar Pradesh Board Exams are currently underway.

When will the UP Board result 2018 be declared?

The Uttar Pradesh Board is most likely to announce the UP Board 10th and 12th Results during the last week of May 2018, following the similar trend as last year. Students are advised to keep checking the official website http://upmsp.edu.in/ or http://upresults.nic.in/  for more details on UP Board Result 2018.

Total number of candidates appearing for UP Board Exam 2018:

  • This year, more than 60 lakh students will write the exams and the exams to be completed in 25 days
  • Furthermore, about 34,04,571 candidates have registered for Class 10 exams, and 26,24,681 candidates have registered for Class 12 exams.

For the academic session 2016-17, a total of 60,29,252 candidates have registered for Class 10 and Class 12 exams.

UP Board Result 2018-10th standard

With a combined student strength of about 3.5 million students, the UP High School Result i.e. the Uttar Pradesh Board 10th Result is the single biggest result to be announced in India. For the academic year 2015-2016, about 37,49,977 students had appeared for the UP Class 10th Exam and the UP Board 10 Class Result was declared in the 3rd week of May.

Last year, the exam was conducted at about 11,000 centres across the state. Of the total students who appeared for UP Board SSC Exam 2016, 93.73% students passed. It was further declared that 92.29% girls passed UP 10th exam while the percentage of boys who cleared the UP board 10th exam stands at 91.25%. The result statistics are expected to improve this year.

UP Board Result 2018-12th standard

With combined student strength of about 2.6 million students, the UP Intermediate Result i.e. the UP Board 12th Result, is the single largest class 12th result to be announced in India.

The UP Board is likely to announce the UP Board 12th Result 2018 in the 2nd or 3rd week of May this year. Last year, the UP Board 12th Class Result was announced on 15 May.

Around 30,71,892 students appeared for UP Intermediate Exams last year. Last year, the exams were conducted in over 10,000 test centres across the state and the UP Board 12th Result pass percentage was 83.50%. As per the reports, of the total boys who appeared for the exam, about 82.23% boys passed UP Board 12th exam 2016 and about 81.91% girls passed UP Board 12th exam.

A total of 68, 21,869 students, including 37, 49,977 of high school and 30, 71,892 of Intermediate, have appeared for the exam. For the year 2016, pass percentage for high school (class 10th) was 87.66% and for intermediate (class 12th) was 87.99%.
