What is NSTSE?

  • The NSTSE stands for National Level Science Talent Search Examination.
  • A student of any class who achieves 100% marks is awarded a prize of Rs. 2,00,000.
  • If no student achieves this, then the student who achieves the highest percentage of marks among all the classes, is awarded Rs.1,00,000.
  • It is conducted by the Unified Council, a professionally managed progressive organization, with an objective to identify and nurture the best brains or the young science virtuosos of the country.

Syllabus for NSTSE

  • NSTSE is based on the CBSE syllabus and 85% of the syllabus is considered for setting the NSTSE question paper.
  • The question papers are also suitable for students following ICSE/ISC and various other state board syllabi.
  • Students of classes 2 to 10, Class 11 (PCM), Class 11(PCB), Class 12 (PCM), Class 12 (PCB) are eligible to participate in this examination.

Exam Pattern for NSTSE

  • There is a separate question paper for each class.
  • All questions are objective-type with no negative marking for wrong answers.
  • The medium for the exam is English

How to apply for NSTSE 2018-19 Stroke 396

Eligibility Criteria for NSTSE

Students of classes 2 to 10, Class 11 (PCM), Class 11(PCB), Class 12 (PCM), Class 12 (PCB) are eligible to participate in this examination.

Registration for NSTSE

  • Students who wish to enroll, should fill and download the registration form.
  • The duly filled in registration form should be accompanied by a demand draft for Rs.300, drawn in favor of UNIFIED COUNCIL payable at Hyderabad.
  • This fee includes the Examination Fee, Success series book, Set of Previous Question Papers (MQP), Student’s Performance Report (SPR) and postal charges.
  • You may also register by paying online at www.unifiedcouncil.com, using Credit, Debit card or through NET Banking.
  • You will receive the Success Series / MQP within 5 weeks from the date the council receives your registration form.
  • Receiving books can be implied as an acknowledgment of the receipt of your registration form.
  • If you do not receive any book within 5 weeks, please e-mail/call the provided contacts with your registration details such as full name, class, D. D. amount, address, phone number, school name and test center chosen.

  • You may make photocopies of the blank registration form and use for your friends’ registrations for participating in NSTSE 2018.
  • If a single envelope is being used by more than one student applying together, then the examination fee can also be sent together through a single demand draft.
  • Registration forms are not accepted through Fax/e-mail.

Application Fee for NSTSE

Individual Registration:

Exam Fee: Rs.300 (The fee includes set of previous question papers, SPR, Success Series and postal charges)

Registration through School:
  • Examination Fee: Rs.120
  • Model Question Papers: Rs. 40
    If you want to refer to previous years’ question papers, you can add Rs. 40 for a set of question papers ( This set is a combination of previous NSTSE question papers and model question papers)
  • Students Performance Report: Rs. 15

Admit Card for NSTSE

If you do not receive your Admit Card by 6th December 2018, should contact them by phone/e-mail immediately, mentioning all the necessary details as above or download the Admit Card here.

NSTSE Selection Process

  • The NSTSE exam is conducted at two levels
  • Level 1 is conducted at the schools and at some selected test centers.
  • The top 500 participants from Class 2 to 12 across the nation along with top 20 from each class are selected for Level 2.
  • Level 2 is conducted at the nearest State Headquarters.
  • On the basis of this test, the final NSTSE results are declared.
  • Level 2 is not held for the students of the 1st standard.

Results and cut-off Stroke 396

  • Your performance is measured on the basis of your individual score compiled in a Student Performance Report (SPR).
  • The SPR provides a detailed analysis of your strong and weak areas along with the performance comparison at school, state, and national level.
  • Consolidated reports per subject and class are sent to the schools.
  • The NSTSE results are also made available on its official website.

Results of NSTSE

  • The Unified Council publishes its NSTSE 2018 results usually within a month from the date of exam commencement.
  • The NSTSE first-level exam for the year 2018 will be held on 07th and 16th December 2018.
  • The result will be declared in the second week of March 2019 by Unified Council NSTSE.
  • You must enter your registered e-mail id and 10-digit mobile number provided while you had filled the NSTSE application form.
  • You must then enter the 8-digit hall ticket number mentioned on the admit card and click ‘Search’.
  • The NSTSE result will then be displayed on your screen.
  • You must download the NSTSE 2018 results from their official website.The result will NOT be sent via post or e-mail.
  • When more than one student gets an equal top score, priority for awarding ranks will be according to marks acquired in the following specified order of subjects – Mathematics (Biology for PCB group), Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Questions.
  • Any student who appears for the NSTSE exam gets a participation certificate and Student Performance Report.
  • The list of NSTSE 2018 toppers and top 100 winners can be found on the official website.
  • State wise list will be declared after excluding the top 100 ranks across the country.
