Founded in 1984 by Mr. G. Viswanathan, the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) is a private university. It conducts the VIT Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE) – offering admissions to students opting for various B.Tech programmes.
Age:
You should be born on or after 1st July, 1996.
Nationality:
All residential and non-residential Indians qualify for this examination.
Subjects:
You must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology during 10+2.
Score in 12th grade (or equivalent) examination:
The minimum should be an aggregate of 60% for general category.
50% for the reserved category as well as residents of North Eastern states.

VIT slot booking 2019 is a provision for applicants to schedule their exam dates within the specified period as assigned by VIT University.
Online slot booking system is a web based online scheduling system available at www.vit.ac.in where in you can choose your test city and then the date and batch for your exams.

The VITEEE 2019 offline application form is available across some head post offices, apart from the VIT campuses at Vellore and Chennai. You should fill up this form very carefully and send the hard copy, along with the Demand Draft, to the address mentioned below:

You can download the VITEEE 2019 Admit Card online in the form of an e-Admit Card, if you have booked your schedule through the Online Test Booking System (OTBS) before March 11th, 2019*.
The VITEEE answer key helps you cross-check and match your answers (as marked in VITEEE 2019 exam). It then estimates your probable score in the entrance exam.
You can visit the official VIT website to check your rank. You will need your application number, verification code and password to access your result.
The VITEEE 2019 result will be declared by the University on 24th April, 2019*.
Here’s how the result is calculated.
The VITEEE 2019 Cut-off should be between 70 & 80 marks. If you score the same, you will be called for the first round of VITEEE counselling.
For the VITEEE Counselling, you are shortlisted on the basis of your rank. The counselling then begins on different dates, and in different phases.
For the academic year 2017-18, a total of 1,84,483 candidates had taken the VITEEE exam, while seats were allotted only to those who ranked above or at 99,999.
Going through previous years’ papers always helps you get acquainted with the type and difficulty level of the exam. Hence, it is considered good practice to solve them once.
Q1: What colleges can I get into through VITEEE? Ans: After clearing VITEEE, you can get into the programmes offered by VIT University (Vellore, Chennai, Amaravati and Bhopal campuses).
