A famous physicist, Carl Sagan once said that we are a way for the Cosmos to know itself. We have been studying nature and natural phenomenon through Physics, since the dawn of humanity. The process of measurement is central to Physics and thus to our understanding of the Cosmos. It enables us to formulate our theories and test our hypothesis. In this chapter, we will try and understand the units of measurement and how it is central to Physics.
