Polynomials Class 10 PDF refers to chapter 2 of CBSE Class 10 Maths. In the previous class, students have already studied polynomials in one variable and their various degrees. Moreover, it is well known that if p(x) happens to be a polynomial in x, the highest power of x in p(x). Furthermore, experts call this highest power as the degree of the polynomial p(x).

Consider the example, 4x + 2 is a polynomial in the variable x of the degree. Similarly, 2y2 – 3y + 4 happens to be a polynomial in the variable y of the degree 2. Expressions like 1/x-1 and 1/x2 + 2x + 3 etc, are certainly not polynomials. Furthermore, a polynomial of degree 1 is referred to as a linear polynomial. On the other hand, experts consider a polynomial of degree 2 is a quadratic polynomial. Also, the derivation of the name ‘quadratic’ is from the words ‘quadrate’, which happens to mean ‘square’. Finally, a cubic polynomial is a polynomial of degree 3. Thus, polynomials class 10 pdf will come in handy in studying about all this in detail.
