Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted the annual Pariksha Pe Charcha 2021 virtually for the first time this year owing to the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. In this event, PM interacted with the students and teachers regarding the Board examinations and handling of stress during the exams.
PM Modi answered the exam-related questions of students and teachers during the event. The students who got selected through the Pariksha Pe Charcha contest were allowed to put their questions.
PM Modi, said, “When you like something more with that you become very comfortable. But those things you are comfortable with you to spend more time on that. Energy should be distributed equally. Give equal time to each subject.”
PM while advising the teachers said, “Talk to students about non-academic stuff and guide them rather than scolding them.”
While interacting with a Delhi student, he said, “There are many ways to deal with exam stress in my book, Exam Warriors.”
While the session was being conducted, #CancelBoardExam2021 was trending among students on Twitter. The students were asking, “Gatherings are banned but mass examinations are okay?”
PM said, “The first-ever virtual #PPC2021 is going to be an exciting interaction, covering a diverse range of topics. You could be an #Exam warrior, a parent or a teacher…there’s something for everyone.”
He advised the students that “Exams represent an opportunity and we should see them as that and not run from them… What you’re not comfortable with, you end up expending 80% of your energy on that. I would tell students to distribute your energy and time equally.”
PM also urged the students to do a task and said, “Our nation is celebrating its 75th Independence Day. I have one task for you after your exams. Find out 75 incidents on the lives of freedom fighters in your own mother tongue as well as in English or Hindi.”
