CBSE 2021: Board launches ‘CBSE Dost for Life’ app for psychosocial well-being of the students

Highlights on CBSE Board 2021:
‘CBSE Dost for Life’ app has been launched by CBSE for Class 9th to 12th students for their mental well-being.
Mumbai: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched an app for the mental well-being of the students from Class 9th to 12th. From 10th May 2021 onwards with its new app ‘CBSE Dost for Life’, the CBSE board shall start the annual counselling programme for students and their parents and several other facilities.
The CBSE press release, stated, “In another first CBSE has launched a psychological counselling app for students of classes IX-XII during the pandemic. Making a departure from the existing practice of counselling through toll-free numbers across the country, the board has designed this facility for the ease, convenience and utility of students and parents within the safe home environment.”
The ‘CBSE Dost for Life’ app includes several features such as counselling sessions, suggestive course guide after Class 12, tips on mental health and well-being, corona guide, rap songs and so on for CBSE students.
There are two slots i.e. from 9.30 AM to 1.30 PM and 1.30 PM to 5.30 PM. Students shall be able to book a slot for the counselling session from 9.30 AM to 1.30 PM while the parents will be able to book a slot for the same from 1.30 PM to 5.30 PM. The students and parents can also connect with the experts via chatbox.
The ‘CBSE Dost for Life’ mobile app is available on the Google Play Store for Android users and can easily be downloaded from there. As of now, this facility is not available for the other phone users but it will soon be available for them too.
