Mumbai: On 31st December 2020, Thursday, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, Union Education Minister, in his live webinar at 6 PM via his Twitter handle announced that the CBSE Board exams for Class 10 and 12 will be conducted from 4th May to 10th June 2021. The results will be declared on 15th July 2021 for the same.
Typically, the practical exams are held in schools in January while the theory exams begin in February and conclude in March. But, owing to the COVID -19 Pandemic outbreak the education ministry has decided to delay the exams for a period of 3 months. The CBSE Board exams cannot be conducted online and hence the education ministry had to postpone the exams.
However, the 3-month delay in exams has raised the concerns of the students, especially of those who intend to pursue their studies abroad as it will impact the college admissions. In an earlier webinar, Education Minister had clarified that the exams will not be held in February due to the pandemic situation.
Several schools have conducted the Pre-board exams online as there was no clarity on the final exam dates. CBSE had earlier notified that the exams will be conducted in offline mode only as it is not feasible to conduct them online.
