CISCE Board 2021: ICSE (Class 10) exams cancelled while ISC (Class 12) exams postponed

Highlights on CISCE Board 2021:
CISCE has cancelled the ICSE exams 2021 amid the surge in COVID-19 cases. The evaluation criteria will be announced soon. It has also postponed the ISC exams 2021 until further notice.
Mumbai: CISCE (Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations) has issued a notice on the official website stating that the ICSE (Class 10) exams 2021 have been cancelled. Previously, these exams were optional but now they stand cancelled due to the rising coronavirus cases across the country.
CISCE stated that the safety and well-being of students and teachers is the top priority and of paramount interest.
The students will now be evaluated on the basis of the ‘fair and an unbiased criterion’ developed by the Board. The Board shall announce the ICSE exams evaluation criteria along with the result date later.
The board has also suggested all the affiliated schools start the process of admission to Class 12. It has also asked the schools to begin the Class 12 lectures online as per the syllabus given on the CISCE official website for the next academic year.
However, the CISCE board has postponed the ISC (Class 12) exams 2021 until further notice. The Council shall review and evaluate the pandemic situation and will then decide whether to conduct Class 12 exams and also the exam dates.
