News Summary of CLAT 2020 Exam Dates

The CLAT 2020 exam dates are announced. CLAT Exam is scheduled for May 10, 2020. Registrations will be open from January 1, 2020 to March 31, 2020. The CNLUs meeting was held at the Permanent Secretariat in NSLU, Bangalore.

The Executive Committee of the Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLUs) held a meeting to decide the schedule of the CLAT 2020. This meeting was held at the NSLU campus in Bangalore and the schedule of the exam was finalized. CLAT 2020 will be held on May 10, 2020. Candidates can register between January 1, 2020 and March 31, 2020.

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), is an entrance exam for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered by the participating National Law Universities across the country. The Consortium was brought together in 2017 to ensure that candidates receive the highest level of legal education in the country. After the meeting, the CNLUs released a notification regarding the details.

CLAT 2020 Exam Dates

The Consortium also agreed on the general format of the exam. It was decided that the paper will be set keeping the 12th standard level of candidates. Also, the Quantitative Techniques paper will be based on the 10th standard level. The exam will have 150 questions across the areas of English, Current Affairs & General Knowledge, Legal Reasoning, Quantitative Techniques, and Logical Reasoning. The exam will have a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
