COMEDK 2020: As per a recent notification, the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental colleges of Karnataka has postponed the COMEDK 2020 examinations due to the concerns arising out of COVID-19 pandemic. While the exams are expected during the first week of June, the Consortium will release the exact dates in the first week of May. COMEDK 2020 was scheduled for May 10, 2020, which now stands postponed.
Along with the examination dates, the Consortium has also extended the last date of application to May 5, 2020. Any candidate who has not yet applied for the exam can do so before the said date.
COMEDK conducts an Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET) for engineering students for admission to engineering courses in COMEDK member institutes. Further, the Consortium conducts this online test on an all-India level.
Things to remember (for COMEDK candidates)
- Read the information brochure thoroughly
- Register online to receive the user ID and password
- Fill the online application form. Also, make the required payment.
- Check the website regularly for updates
- Download the admission ticket for the test. COMEDK does not send hard copies.
- Appear for the test
- Download the result
- Attend the counseling session as per schedule

Karnataka Professional Colleges Foundation formed COMEDK to offer an effective, fair and objective testing procedure to determine the merit of students seeking admission to various courses in Karnataka. The test has three sections – Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Each section has 60 multiple-choice questions. Candidates need to answer each section within three hours. Further, each correct answer receives 1 mark. Also, there is no negative marking for wrong answers. The test is based on the 10 + 2 syllabus. Candidates must check the eligibility requirements before applying.
