Highlights for JEE Main 2020
NTA lists the documents that candidates are required to carry to the examination center for the JEE Main 2020 exam. Failing to follow these guidelines can result in the candidate being prohibited from taking the exam. The NTA has also released an advisory for candidates listing important instructions for exam day.
Documents Required JEE Main 2020: The National Testing Agency or NTA provides a list of things that the candidates can carry to the JEE Main 2020 examination center. These documents are important to verify the candidates and allow them to take the exam. Failing to do so can result in the candidate being prohibited from taking the JEE Main 2020 exam.
What Should You Carry at JEE Main 2020?
Once candidates have downloaded the admit card, they need to take a print out of the same. The physical copy of the admit card is the entry ticket to the examination center.
Candidates need to carry one passport size photograph. It should be the same as used on the online application form. They will be required to paste it on the attendance sheet at the examination center.
Approved Photo ID documents
Candidates are also required to carry one original photo ID document. This list of acceptable IDs includes PAN card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, Aadhaar Card (With photograph), E- Aadhaar, Ration Card, 12th Class Board Admit Card with a photograph, and Bank Passbook with a photograph. The document must be valid and within the expiry date.
If a candidate belongs to the PwD category, then he/she needs to carry a PwD certificate issued by a competent authority. Such candidates are also required to report early for facilitation during entry.
Further, candidates are NOT allowed to carry items like Instrument or Geometry or Pencil box, Handbag, Purse, any kind of Paper or Stationery or Textual material, Eatables and Water, Mobile Phone, Ear Phone or Microphone, Pager, Calculator, DocuPen, Slide Rules, Log Tables, Camera, Tape Recorder, or carry any type of watch including Electronic Watches with facilities of calculator, any metallic item or electronic gadgets/ devices to the examination hall.
