Highlights on IIT JEE Main Exams 2021:
The students for BTech, BArch and B.Planning will be given only two attempts in February and May to clear the IIT JEE Mains exams 2021 while students of B.Tech will be given four attempts.
IIT JEE Mains Paper 1 is for B.Tech students, Paper 2 is for B.Arch and Paper 3 is for B.Planning courses. National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the IIT JEE Mains 2021 examination four times this year in the months of February, March, April and May. BArch and B.Planning students will be able to appear for February and May attempts only. The first attempt is scheduled to be held from 23rd to 26th February 2021.
Thus, B.Arch and B.Planning students will be given only two chances or attempts to clear the JEE Mains exams. However, B.Tech students will get four chances. The dates for the May attempt have not been announced yet, but they are likely to fall somewhere between the CBSE board and other state board exams. Hence, candidates are advised to appear for the February attempt itself and not depend on the May exams.
Information bulletin along with the announcement of the dates has been released by NTA for JEE Main 2021 on its official website. The candidates who had qualified for the JEE Mains earlier but were not able to appear for JEE Advanced due to COVID-19 outbreak, are being allowed by the NTA to appear for JEE Advanced without reappearing for JEE Mains.
Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow has also decided to consider the JEE Main 2021 scores instead of Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE).
