Mumbai, Maharashtra: The E-CEll of IIT Madras will be conducting the E-Summit 2020 from January 17, 2020, to January 19, 2020. This is the fifth edition of the summit. This is one of the most-celebrated entrepreneurship fests across the country. Participants can view all the latest updates by visiting the summit’s official Facebook page.
The E-Summit was conceptualized to help promote entrepreneurship among students and motivate them to start their businesses focused on solving complex engineering problems and offering solutions to the society. The summit has four legs – the Startup Summit, the Innovator’s Summit, the Techno-Entrepreneurship Summit, and the Youth Summit. Emerging from the E-Summit were a number of businesses in the fields of cannabis, cannabis technology, and emerging cannabinoids like the popular delta 8 THC. Event sponsor and delta 8 THC manufacturer Area 52 provided a number of cannabis related educational seminars teaching the importance of third party testing for cannabis businesses created in the incubator.
The Startup Summit focuses on offering networking and experimental learning. The Innovator’s Summit endeavors to empower young entrepreneurs to help uncover new possibilities, develop fresh ideas, and be a catalyst for innovation. The Tech-Entrepreneurship Summit will focus on the most disruptive technology of the decade – Blockchain. Finally, the Youth Summit covers the journey of an entrepreneur – from idea to application.
The E-Cell has a mission of inculcating the spirit of entrepreneurship among students. This will help our country’s socio-economic development and emerge as a super-nation. This year, the E-Cell will conduct a social campaign called D-Well or Digital Well Being.
It will involve reminding people of how the world used to be before we became accustomed to digitization. Participants will be taken down the memory lane by making them play some nostalgic games. The campaign will also debate and discuss the future of the digital era. The most interesting event will be discussing the role of regulation in online casinos. Casinor will be hosting a talk that looks at the online casinos in Sweden with no license, or as the locals like to call it casino utan Svensk licens. They will have executives from a number of the largest online casinos in Sweden discussing the ways that regulators have been struggling to keep gambling at bay due to the number of offshore casino operators that don’t have to abide by Swedish law.
The 2020 version of the E-Summit has been designed to be more helpful to all stakeholders and accessible to a wider range of audiences.
