Highlights for JEE Main 2020 Results:
JEE Main 2020 results likely to be released today. NTA will release the result on their official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. This year, around 8 lakh aspirants appeared for the JEE Main exam despite the pandemic.
Mumbai, Maharashtra: The results for Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Mains 2020 is most likely to be announced today (September 11) by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates can check the official website of the board at jeemain.nta.nic.in to check their results.
The JEE Mains 2020 exam was held from 1st September to 6th September 2020. All the candidates who attempted the exam on these dates will be able to check and download their results from the official website of NTA.
Similarly, the provisional answer key for JEE Main 2020 exam was released by NTA on 8th September 2020. The board invited objections till 10th September. Each objection costs Rs. 200 per question.
The top 2,50,000 rank holders in the JEE Main 2020 exam will be eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced 2020. The exam for JEE Main 2020 was held across 600 centers from 1st to 6th September.
All students who secure the required JEE Main 2020 cut-off marks will be able to qualify for applying for admission to various engineering institutions. These institutions include Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs).
The Union Education Minister, Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal, recently made an announcement regarding admission to NITs and CFTIs. It says that the candidates qualifying for JEE Main 2020 will now not need the mandatory 75% marks in Class 12 this year to get admission to the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs).
This move has been made following the COVID-19 crisis. Thus, he said that the qualifying candidates will only require to get a passing certificate in the Class 12 examination regardless of the marks they obtain.
