Highlights of JEE Main 2020 Sample Papers

  • NTA released the official sample paper for JEE Main 2020 aspirants
  • The paper format is different from the old format
  • From next year the JEE Main will be conducted in multiple languages

Mumbai, Maharashtra: The official sample papers for all the three subject (Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry) of JEE Main- 2020 has been released by the NTA (National Testing Agency). The sample paper only contains the questions that are based on the newly introduced long-form numerical questions.

According to the new format, along with the MCQs (Multiple-Choice Questions), there will be long-form numerical type questions for students that they need to answer in JEE Main Examination- 2020. Besides, each question whether the multiple-choice question of long-form numerical question both will be of 4 marks each. In addition, there will be no negative marking for numerical type questions. But, for MCQs, there will be a negative marking of 25% that is 1 mark for each wrong answer.

Ever since this is the first time when numerical type questions are asked in the paper. So, the NTA has only released the sample paper for only this particular new section. Further, for understanding the pattern and type of questions clearly they can also refer to books and NCERT.

In addition, from next year onwards, the NTA will conduct the JEE Main examination in multiple languages, in which states with the maximum number of applicants will be given preference.

Moreover, the candidates that successfully clear the JEE Main exam are eligible to take admission in undergraduate courses in Engineering, architecture stream all over India. Most importantly, the pre-requisite for JEE Advanced will be selected on the basis of ranks and the qualified applicants will be eligible for admission in premium colleges like NITs, IITs.
