Highlights for JEE Main Dress Code 2020

The NTA has NOT issued any specific guidelines around the dress code for JEE Main 2020. Following a simple dress code can make the pre-examination procedure simpler. It is advisable to dress according to the weather conditions

JEE Main Dress Code 2020: Most competitive exams have a dress code for candidates. However, the National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts the JEE examinations has not issued any guidelines for the dress code for JEE Main 2020. While it has specified a list of things that the candidates CAN and CANNOT carry to the center, there are no rules for the dress code.

While candidates are advised to wear clothes that suit the local weather conditions, here is a quick set of guidelines to help make the pre-examination procedure quick and simple:

JEE Main 2020 Dress Code for Male Candidates

Candidates will be frisked before being allowed access to the examination center. Hence, the clothes should be devoid of any metallic items. Also, it is advisable to avoid wearing caps or mufflers. The clothes should be comfortable and according to the weather conditions. Finally, male candidates should avoid wearing any rings or bracelets or anything metallic to the center.

JEE Main 2020 Dress Code for Female Candidates

While the basic rules remain similar to male candidates, female candidates must ensure that they keep their dress code simple and comfortable for the exam. They can avoid clothes with too many pockets or accessories, especially metallic buttons, etc. Further, they need to keep jewelry minimal or absent if possible. There might not be any access to a locker facility at the center, hence avoiding costly jewelry is recommended.

Candidates need to remember that the authorities at the examination center will frisk them and take all precautions to ensure that they conduct the exam with integrity, fairness, and without any roadblocks. Hence, it will be prudent to keep the dress code simple and avoid anything metallic.
