JEE Main 2020 News: The Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, has confirmed that 510 students from Delhi Government School have qualified in the JEE Main 2020 exam. The results for JEE Mains 2020 were announced on 12 September 2020. The number increased from 473 in 2019 to 510 in 2020.
Mumbai, Maharashtra: Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, lauded the students of Delhi Government Schools for performing well in the JEE Mains Exam 2020. The results were announced recently on 12 September 2020.
A total of 510 Delhi Government school students have qualified in the JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) Main 2020 exam. CM Kejriwal confirmed these figures through a tweet. The state toppers for JEE Main Delhi are Chirag Falor and Era Sarda.
As per the Delhi CM’s tweet, the performance of the students from the Delhi Government has enhanced significantly. CM Kejriwal congratulated all the teachers and students from the Govt Schools of NCR that managed to perform excellently in one of the toughest engineering entrance exams.
In addition, CM Kejriwal also shared that the total number of students qualifying in the JEE Main 2020 exam from Delhi Government Schools has grown from 473 in 2019 to 510 in 2020. On the other hand, in 2018, a total of 350 students qualified for JEE Mains from Delhi Govt. schools.
Further, Delhi has the second-highest number of 100 percentiles for the JEE Mains Exam 2020. Out of a total of 24 students who scored a 100 percentile, 5 students were from New Delhi.
This data was shared by NTA (National Testing Agency) confirming Delhi State has the second-highest number of 100 percentiles. Similarly, the maximum number of 100 percentiles belonged to Telangana, where 8 students scored 100% percentile.
Following New Delhi, the other states are Rajasthan with 4 students, Andhra Pradesh with 3 students, and Haryana with 2 students. Gujarat and Maharashtra have one candidate each who scores 100 Percentile in JEE Main 2020.
