JKBOSE 2021: Class 10 exams cancelled while Class 11 and 12 exams postponed

Highlights on JKBOSE 2021:

Jammu and Kashmir board has cancelled the Class 10 exams while it has postponed the Class 11 and 12 exams.

Mumbai: Amid the spike in COVID-19 cases, the Jammu Kashmir government has also decided to cancel JKBOSE Class 10 Exams and postpone JKBOSE Class 11 and 12 exams. The Jammu and Kashmir government has declared that Class 10 students will be promoted to the next class and the decision on the Class 12 exam will be announced after one month.

The LG of Jammu and Kashmir tweeted, “In view of rising cases of #COVID19, Class X ongoing exams for remaining subjects has been cancelled and their promotion to Class XI will be decided on the basis of their performance in subjects already undertaken in the present exam and internal assessment. In case of ongoing XII exams, it has been postponed and it will be reviewed after one month,”

Class 10th exams had already started on 3rd April and were to conclude on 24th April while Class 12th exams begun on 1st April and were to conclude on 29th April. Due to the spike in coronavirus cases, both the exams got interrupted mid-way.

However, Class 11 exams were to begin on 27th April and conclude on 20th May but they have also been postponed by the Jammu and Kashmir Board.

The students are demanding mass promotion to Class 12th in view of the postponement of Class 11th exams. However, Jammu and Kashmir government has not decided on this and is yet to announce the revised exam dates. The students are advised to check the official website regularly for the latest update on JKBOSE Exam dates.
