JKCET 2020: Counselling mop-up round to be held on 27th and 28th November due to the shortfall in admissions

The JKBOPEE has announced to conduct a mop-up round of counselling for JKCET 2020. The rounds will be held on the 27th and 28th November 2020. The decision has been taken in view of the shortfall in the admissions in various engineering programmes offered by the participating colleges and institutes.

Mumbai: JKBOPEE (Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination) announces to conduct a mop-up round for JKCET 2020 counselling. The mop-up round shall be held on 27th and 28th November. The authorities of the board have taken this decision in view of the shortfall in JKCET admissions.

As per the reports, there has been a shortfall in admissions in various disciplines of engineering programmes offered by the participating institutes and colleges. The JKCET counselling mop-up round will be held physically now. It shall be conducted for allotting and upgrading of seats falling under open category.

JKBOPEE has also released the schedule of the JKCET 2020 counselling mop-up round. All the candidates including the candidates under TFW category are eligible to take part in it. TFW refers to the Tuition Fee Waiver category. The mop-up round of counselling will be held on 27th November for the students who secured Rank 1 to 2000 and on 28th November for the students securing Rank 2001 to 3387.

The aspirants, who are eligible and wish to participate in the JKCET 2020 counselling mop-up round, need to visit the BOPEE offices at Jammu or Srinagar from 9 AM to 10:30 AM.

The candidates who previously applied under CNA/ SNA or who could not attend the previous rounds of counselling due to some unavoidable reasons or who also got a seat allotted after the counselling but could not join the college are all eligible to attend the mop-up round of the Counselling.
