All stages of NEET PG 2020 counselling have been postponed after a national lock-down was announced amid the outbreak of Coronavirus.
Mumbai: In view of the outbreak of coronavirus, the Medical Council Committee has postponed the counselling process of the NEET PG 2020. Adhering to the advisory issued by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, the authorities have decided to postpone the scheduled counselling session. The state counselling authorities have also been advised to postpone the state-level counselling process.
The registration for Round 1 of the counselling session was conducted between 12-23 March and the choice of filling or locking was scheduled between 16-24 March. The process for allotment of seats was to take place on 25-26 March, whereas the NEET PG counselling results were to be announced on 27 March.
The revised or new schedule has not been updated yet but, the students are advised to keep a check the official website regularly for any new notification. Students are suggested to visit the official website, the link for which is mentioned here https://mcc.nic.in/UGCounselling/. By the time a new notification is out, the students are suggested to follow the precautionary guidelines issued by the health ministry.

NEET 2020 PG Important Dates
- The NEET result was announced by January 30, 2020.
- The merit list for All India Quota was released by February 17, 2020.
- The cut-off for 50% of All India Quota was out by February 18, 2020.
- Individual scorecard for the same was made available from February 20, 2020.
The counselling round which was scheduled to take place now stands postponed. Due to the severe impact of Chinese Coronavirus, almost all examinations have now been postponed and along with admission procedures. Things should resume once the situation is under control and the Corona threat no longer exists.
