The NEET UG Admit cards that were scheduled to come out tomorrow will not be released tomorrow amidst the country on a 21-day lockdown. This also means that the exam is likely to be postponed.
A senior NTA official announced earlier today that they will not be releasing the admit cards for NEET-UG on March 27th, the new date for releasing the admit cards will come only after April 14th. This step has been taken for the safety of the children.
The HRD ministry is looking to postpone all UG exams as all class 12th exams have been postponed which would directly delay all the UG exam dates as well. Earlier the NEET-UG was set to be conducted on May 3rd. CBSE, NIOS, and CISCE exams have been postponed because of the COVID-19 lockdown in India. This also means that NEET-UG, JEE Main and all other UG exams that actually followed the Class 12 or intermediate exams are likely to be postponed as well.
The HRD Ministry stated, “The new dates will be announced only after the lockdown period is over. The ministry is in talks with the health ministry over the matter and new dates will be announced by NTA post the lockdown period.”
