Highlights on Telangana Board Exams 2021:
Telangana government has promoted students from Class 1st to 10th without exams owing to the second wave of COVID-19.
Mumbai: Students from Class 1st to 10th (SSC) have been promoted by the Telangana Government without the exams due to the COVID-19 surge across the country. Around 53,79,388 students of Class 1st to 9th have been promoted this year without exams.
The students of TS SSC (Class 10th) have also been promoted by the Telangana government due to the spike in coronavirus cases. Previously, the TS SSC exams 2021 were scheduled to be held from 17th to 26th May 2021. Due to the spike in COVID-19 cases, these exams were however cancelled.
K Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, announced that due to the prevailing situation of COVID-19 in the state, 5,21,392 students have been promoted in the Telangana SSC exams without appearing for the exams.
He also added that on 1st June 2021, the Telangana government will review the ground situation of COVID-19 and will then make a decision about the reopening of the schools and junior colleges in the state.
Meanwhile, from 27th April to 31st May 2021, the Telangana government has declared the summer holidays for the students of schools and junior colleges.
Ramachandran, special chief secretary of the Telangana government, said, “The marks of Class 10 students will be evaluated on the basis of “objective criteria”, which will be developed by the Telangana SSC board. If any candidate is not satisfied with the marks awarded to him/ her, they will have an option to appear for the Board exam 2021. These exams may be held after the situation normalizes.”
