Tentative dates for CBSE class 12 practical examination have been announced. The final dates with all other details to be released soon.
Mumbai: Tentative dates for the practical exams of CBSE Class 12 have been announced by the Central Board of Secondary Education. This should put end to rumours and speculations about cancellation or postponement of CBSE Class 12 Board Exams. During a webinar on New Education Policy (NEP), CBSE Secretary, Anurag Tripathi confirmed that CBSE board exams for both class 10 and 12 students will take place for the present academic sessions.
The CBSE class 12 practical examinations are expected to take place in January and February. The tentative dates for the same are January 1, 2020, to February 8, 2020. CBSE has also clarified that these are only tentative dates and could change. The precise dates will be announced at a later stage. The announcement comes as a major relief for students as it clears the air about postponement or cancellation of the examination.
Mr Anurag Tripathi also stated that the board is assessing different modes through which examination could be conducted in light of the ongoing pandemic. He also assured the students that a detailed plan was being worked out and everything will be clearly communicated to the students.
The board has also issued some standard operating procedures to adhere to the COVID-19 guidelines. Different dates will be sent to schools to efficiently conduct practical examinations. There would be an external board appointed observer to supervise the practical exams. It would be the responsibility of the schools to conduct the exams and adhere to the SOPs.
The dates or any other details for the CBSE board examinations have not been revealed. Usually, the exams are conducted in February or March, but no confirmation has been provided yet. The pandemic is being monitored and will impact the final decision. Follow Toppr news for more.
