Highlights of UPSEE 2020 Exam Dates

Mumbai, Maharashtra: The Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination or UPSEE 2020 examination that will be conducted by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Uttar Pradesh is likely to be held on May 10, 2020. According to the official website, this is the expected date of the examination.
From 2019, the Technical Education Department of the Government of Uttar Pradesh has agreed to the creation of a Central Admission Board (CAB) to supervise and control the UPSEE.
The CAB is created under the chairmanship of the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow. The CAB will hold complete rights for conducting the exam and deciding about the admission modalities and seat allotment. The CAB will also have jurisdiction over institutes and colleges affiliated to the AKTU, Lucknow.
The UPSEE is an online exam with eight papers from Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry. There is a total of 150 questions in the exam which need to be answered in three hours. Each correct answer is awarded 4 marks. Wrong answers do not carry any negative marking.
The UPSEE offers admission to the first year of B.Tech, B.Pharm, B.Arch, B.Des, BFA, BFAD, BHMCT, B.Voc, MCA, MCA (Integrated), MBA, MBA (Integrated), M.Arch, M.Design, M.Pharm, and M.tech, along with the second year of B.Tech, B.Pharm, and MCA (Lateral entry).
Once the results are declared, students will have to register for counseling where they will have to fill choices and lock them according to their preference. Counseling will be held in four rounds and two spot rounds. The final allotment of seats will be based on the UPSEE result, college preference, and availability of seats.
