WB Board 2021: Class 11 Exams cancelled while Class 12 Exam Timings changed by WBCHSE

Highlights on West Bengal Board Exams 2021:
WB Class 11th final exams have been cancelled by WBCHSE in view of the surge in COVID-19 cases in the state. However, Class 12th examinations will be held as scheduled earlier but the exam timings have been changed by WBCHSE.
Mumbai: Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic situation in the state, Class 11th Final exams have been cancelled by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Examination (WBCHSE). However, the board shall conduct the Class 12th (Higher Secondary) final exams as scheduled earlier. Class 12th exams are scheduled to start from 15th June.
The timing of exams has however being changed. Previously, the exam timing was from 10 am to 1:15 pm but now the new timing is from 12 to 3:15 pm.
The board stated that the students shall appear for Class 12th final exams from their home venues. It also added that any further decision or change will be communicated to the students after reviewing the COVID-19 situation again.
WB Class 10th final exams are scheduled to be held between 1st and 10th June 2021.
Earlier, Partha Chatterjee, West Bengal Education Minister had said that the government shall take an appropriate decision in view of the surge in coronavirus cases in the state giving priority to the health of students appearing for the Class 10th and 12th Exams.
