NCERT Solutions for Class 8 Physics Chapter 11

Force and pressure are two very easily visible facts of physics in our surroundings. Different kind of pressure and their effects on the objects will give a solid base to students. Our app is presenting the NCERT Solutions for Class 8 Physics Chapter 11 Force and Pressure in a very systematic and exhaustive way. Different experiments will help them to grasp the solutions

Let us discuss the sub-topics in detail.

11.1: Force – A Push or a Pull:

It will explain the force and its presentations in the form of push and pull. Students will learn it using practical. They will identify various actions of these types.

11.2: Forces are due to an Interaction:

Students can infer that at least two objects must interact for a force to come into play. So, the interaction of one object with another object results in a force between them.

11.3: Exploring Forces:

In this topic, students will explore many facts about force like its magnitude, direction, effects, etc. Also, they will see that a force could be larger or smaller than the other.

11.4: A Force Can Change the State of Motion:

It is a very interesting fact that the state of motion changes due to force. Many observations suggest that a force applied on an object may change its speed as well as its direction. Hence a force may bring a change in the state of motion of an object.

11.5: Force can Change the Shape of an Object:

Due to the force shape of an object varies. Force may cause one or more effects, but it is important to remember that none of these actions can take place without the action of a force. So, any object cannot move by itself, and cannot change speed by itself

11.6: Contact Forces:

Contact forces may be in form muscular force of in form of friction. For example, using muscular force animals are carrying their work. It is the force of friction between the surface of the ball and the ground which brings the moving ball to the state of rest.

11.7: Non-Contact Forces:

Various other forces are non-contact type like a magnetic force, electrostatic force, and gravitational force. These forces are very strong and have a variety of effects on our life.

11.8: Pressure:

It is another way to feel the force and its effect. The pressure is the force acting on a unit area of a surface. Students may see many kinds of pressures existing in their surroundings.

11.9: Pressure Exerted by Liquids and Gases:

The student will learn the facts about the exertion of pressure by liquids and gases also with the help of some easy experiments.

11.10: Atmospheric Pressure:

We all know that there is air all around us. This covering of air is known as the atmosphere. The atmospheric air in our surroundings extends up to many kilometers above the surface. The pressure exerted by this air is popularly called as atmospheric pressure.
