1.Relief:

2. Climate:

This includes the various factors which affect the environment and life of natural wildlife. The character and extent of vegetation are basically decided by temperature with humidity in the air, precipitation, and soil. Students will learn about the fact that with longer sunlight exposure, trees grow faster and also about the areas with heavy rainfall having dense vegetation.

3. Ecosystem:

All the plants and animals in a particular area are interdependent and interlinked to each other in their physical environment, so, forming an ecosystem. Human beings are also an important part of the ecosystem.

4. Types of vegetation: In this topic, the students shall study the following types of vegetations:

a. Tropical evergreen forest: It explains the fact that these type of forests are restricted to heavy rainfall in their area.

b. Tropical deciduous Forest: These are the huge spread of forests in India. These forests get rainfall between 200 cm and 70 cm.

c. Tropical thorn forest and scrubs: Student will know that in this forest rainfall is less than 70 cm of rainfall, the natural vegetation is thorny trees and bushes.

d. Montane forest: These forests are in mountainous areas. Mangrove forest: The mangrove tidal forests are in the areas of coasts affected by tides.

5. Wildlife:

India is also rich in its Wildlife. It is having near about 90,000 animal species. The country has approximately 2,000 species of birds. It is part of 15% of the world’s total. There are approximately 2,546 species of fish, which is the contribution of nearly 12% in the world’s stock it having a good amount of amphibians, reptiles, and mammals also.
