Descriptive statistics are used to describe the overall summary of a set of data. They provide insights from a set of raw information. By combining descriptive statistics and graphical statistics, understand and interpreting a set of data becomes fairly easy for the reader. For e.g., 33.33% of all students choose commerce in class eleventh. Or, in easier descriptive terms, a third of all students choose commerce in class eleventh.
