Asexual reproduction is common in simple organisms like algae, fungi, and unicellular organisms. Sexual reproduction is certainly a complex and slower process in comparison to asexual reproduction. Most noteworthy, complex and higher animals reproduce by the sexual method. Also, events of sexual reproduction consist of pre-fertilization, fertilization, and post-fertilization events.
